Named for the bird that never leaves this coast
Brown pelicans ride out every storm the Carolina coast throws at them and stay put. That’s the kind of company we set out to build — local, steady, and here for the long haul.
Built here, for here
Brown Pelican Enterprises, LLC started the way a lot of good building companies do: with one crew, one truck, and a reputation that spread from neighbor to neighbor. Today we build new homes and take on the mid-size jobs that matter most to homeowners — roofs, additions, remodels, fences, and outbuildings — across Wilmington, Rocky Point, and Burgaw.
We stay deliberately small. That means the person who quotes your job is the person who checks it at the end, and the standards don’t change whether we’re framing a house or hanging a gate.

Where we work
We concentrate our work along the US-117 / I-40 corridor between Burgaw and Wilmington, with Rocky Point right in the middle. Keeping the radius tight means we can be on your site quickly — for quotes, for the build, and for anything after.
- Wilmington — city and greater New Hanover County
- Rocky Point — and surrounding Pender County
- Burgaw — and nearby communities
Just outside these areas? Ask us — for the right project we’ll travel.
Four steps, start to finish
The same straightforward process whether it’s a fence line or a whole house.
Consult
We walk the property with you, listen to what you’re after, and talk honestly about what’s feasible.
Quote
You get a clear, written scope and price. No vague allowances, no surprise line items later.
Build
Our crew shows up when we say we will, keeps the site clean, and keeps you posted at every stage.
Walkthrough
We walk the finished work together, handle the punch list, and don’t call it done until you do.
What homeowners say
“They rebuilt our roof after the storm and treated the job like it was their own house. Clear quote, clean site, done when they said it would be done.”
“Our addition matched the original house so well the neighbors couldn’t tell where the old walls ended. Communication was easy the whole way through.”
“From the first walkthrough to the final punch list, everything was straightforward. The barn came out better than we pictured it.”
